iCam and skype

Hi I am a new user and have been reading forum but still have a couple of questions. Does my cam and green light have to be on all the time can it be motion activated like push and turn off and on if being used. Also if this cam is on all the time like it is now how will this effect my skype operation. Will there be a cam conflict. Has anyone tested this with skype with cam on and an incoming video skpye call? Thanks for the icam software it is nice addition to my iphone also is there any wifi cams supported yet i saw a thread on the linkys cam. If you could just support a couple of the most popular cams that would be great. Last question I have older desktop with cam running windows 98 will any of your software support that?

We have no control over the green light of your webcam, and it is always "on" since the iCamSource is monitoring the video feed to determine when motion occurs to send the push notifications and record the motion events.

I am not sure if it will interfere with Skype or not, but you could easily try that by running both the iCamSource and Skype to see what happens. I could see it being dependent on your operating system, camera, and drivers, so it may work for some but not for others.

The iCamSource supports most MJPEG-compatible network IP cameras. If the camera supports JPEG or MJPEG, it will most likely work.

The iCamSource does require Windows XP or later, however.
