major issue with iCam mac software and mac os x 10.6.3
« on: March 30, 2010, 08:11:23 PM »
major issue with mac icam software and mac os x 10.6.3. after i updated my mac pro with os x 10.6.3 i noticed my keyboard started to go complete haywire with keys getting suck (registering multiple times) or weren't registering at all. i spent over an hour trying to figure out the problem and i narrowed it down to an application running on my mac pro since the keyboard was working perfectly fine on another mac i tested it on. going through each running app i found out that icam connected to a usb cam was causing the issue. i have two copies of icam running on my mac, one for a usb cam and one for a wifi cam and i noticed that whenever i have the icam running with the usb cam my keyboard would display the issues, the second i quit the app everything returns back to normal. oddly, this issue doesn't occur when the copy of icam associated with the wifi cam is running. i even tested to make sure the problem was due to the fact of having multiple copies of icam running, running the version for the usb cam was causing the problem no matter if there was only one copy of icam running.

by the way, all my software is updated (icam and all mac software)
