A few issues with iCam
« on: December 10, 2012, 03:54:03 AM »
Hi

My biggest issue is connectivity over 3G. Im receiving the error unable to connect to the icam broker server. I have made no changes on my LAN, and have not been receiving this error before.  I am able to connect fine over WiFi.

I really cannot see any reason why this has stopped on
my end

Cheers

It's most likely a port forwarding issue. Your cell data provider could make changes to their network that could affect communication between your computer and your phone. Have you tried checking the "auto config router" box in icamsource? If not, try that...and make sure that uPNP is enabled in your router when you try it. When you start icamsource, you should get a success (or error) message.

Nah algood fixed.

Turns out my carrier is blocking traffic and some how my APN changed back to the default one blocking VPN and everything.

If your in NZ on vodafone, iphone-vodafone.co.nz blocks heaps of traffic, use APN vodafone.co.nz obviously they were blocking the ports used by icam on that first APN

Thanks for the reply though :)
