what to do, when ISP changes IP every 24 hours?
« on: October 13, 2009, 01:18:34 AM »
Hi,
I am using Icam and I found out that I am unable to reach my cam after ISP changed the IP (this is what they do here in Germany). Is there an option in Icam-Sources to "inform" the server about the recent IP randomly? Or do I have to set up a static IP by using DYNDNS or similar service?

Any hints or advices?

Tom

If you could go to http://whatismyipaddress.com/ from the computer running the iCamSource and e-mail support@skjm.com what it says your iCamSource's current IP address is then we hopefully look it up in the iCam Broker Server logs and determine the best course of action to take.

Please reference this forum post in your e-mail along with whether you are running the Mac OS X or Windows version of the iCamSource.

Thanks!
