Using an iPhone 4 as a security camera?
« on: June 22, 2012, 07:46:19 AM »
Hi,

With iCam is it possible to use my old iPhone 4 as the security camera? I leave my iPhone 4 in a dock in my garage and I would like to monitor motion in there.

Thanks!
RJ

It looks as though this will work as long as I use ipCam on the iPhone I want to run as a security camera. Is that correct?

Thanks!

Yes, but you will also need to be running icamsource on a computer that is powered on during the times that you want to monitor the garage.

Yes, that is correct, you can set up your iPod touch as a WiFi network IP camera with our latest app ipCam.

In order to view it on another iDevice it would then need to be connected, like any other WiFi network IP camera, to a computer running iCamSource.

More information about ipCam can be found here: http://skjm.com/ipcam/
