How to wake sleeping computer to use iCam Source...
« on: July 02, 2009, 06:01:30 AM »
Just installed iCam 1.2.5 on my Mac Pro and iPhone 3G S 32GB...

First let me say this is one of the coolest apps I've seen (and used) so far!
Works right off the get go. Kudos to SKJM!

I see that you are working on the Push Notification - with Motion Detection - which is really what I'm looking for...

However how does this work when the host computer running iCam Source - goes to sleep?
Seems I can only connect via iPhone when the host is up and running and not in sleep mode - or am I missing something here?
Seems like 99% of people have their computers in sleep mode when away - so how does one get a Push Notification if their CPU is in sleep mode?

Aloha, Joseph

Thanks for the great feedback! :)

You are correct in that the computer would have to be running the iCamSource for it to detect motion and for you to be able to connect to it with iCam.
