Source Connection Error
« on: June 06, 2009, 03:54:48 PM »
I just installed iCamSource on two desktops (one Vista and one XP SP3) with hardwired Logitech cameras.  The Vista-connected camera is working beautifully while the other one is giving me an error message:

"One or more of the iCamSources returned by the iCam Broker Server could not be connected to."

The Netgear FVS318 Router/Firewall does not appear to be part of the problem as I am able to stream one of the cameras. I did notice that some other members have had this problem in the past.  Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you see that error when your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi or 3G/EDGE?

Usually that error is due to router configuration issues, but I agree that it doesn't look like that's the problem in this case.

The other thing that could cause that error is firewall software on the XP SP3 computer.  Please disable any firewall/security software on that computer temporarily to see if iCam start working.  If it does, we can configure the firewall so that it works with iCam.

I am having a problem. When I am on my wireless network at the house i can use the program fine. When I try to use it with the wifi turned off (using 3g) I get "One or more of the iCamsources returned by the iCam Broker Server could not be connected to".

My Data IP Address is 10.143.46.37

Thank you in advance

Miklboykin - If you could go to http://whatismyipaddress.com/ from the computer running the iCamSource and e-mail support@skjm.com what it says your external IP address is then I can attempt to look it up in the Broker Server logs and hopefully troubleshoot the problem.
