Multiple Cameras
« on: June 18, 2011, 09:11:09 AM »
I am not able to use more than two USB cameras at a time using iCam 2.3 Beta on an XP machine.  The third camera shows a black screen regardless which of the three cameras I use for it.  I know all three cameras are functioning.  Any ideas on how to get more that two cameras to display at the same time.  Incidentally, the images of the two that are in use show up on my iPhone/iPad.

Thoughts?

It is most likely an issue of your computer's USB bus not being able to keep three USB webcams active at once.

The iCamSource does allow you to add up to 16 webcams or network IP cameras from a single computer, although your computer's hardware limitations (USB bus, CPU, memory) may further limit that number.

I was afraid that this may be the reason.  I did also try it on my laptop with the same result.

Thanks and if you have any more thoughts, please let me know.
