Live feed freezes with 2 USB CAMERAS

 Ok so here is my setup.

2 USB cameras
Running latest version of icamsource
Running windows xp

I can get each camera to start and run for a bit but then one of them will freeze. When I stop then and restart only one will turn on. If I remove one from icamsource, the one left works perfectly.

Ive tried uninstalling the cameras, uninstalling icamsource and even plugging the cameras into different USB ports.

Anyone have any idea what it could be?

Do you have the latest drivers installed? Try checking the manufacturer's website to make sure.

They are actually driver free web cams.

Everything worked fine until I updated to the new icamsource.

Have you checked with the manufacturer? Nothing is driver-free...that just means it's using a generic driver included with Windows.

If you can't locate any updated drivers, and Windows has all updates installed, you might try uninstalling icamsource, and install the older version that you used successfully. I don't think the icamsource update changed how it gets video from a camera, so that is weird.

I'm sure the SKJM guys will have more insight, since it's their program.

Approximately how long does it take for one of the cameras to freeze? If you plug the webcams directly into the computer (as opposed to into an extension cable) or revert to the older version of the iCamSource (as OUAnthony suggested) does that make any difference?
