can only get one cam to work at a time

i have a fairly new imac and can only get either the built in isight to work or my usb rocketfish webcam to work.  cannot get them both to work at the same time.  ive tried skype, ichat and manycam along with icam, and its one or the other.  ive read about a usb conflict with the webcams but not much else.  is there any thing i can do? running osx 10.6.5

If you're unable to view both cameras with other programs, such as iChat and Manycam, that indicates that it is probably the USB bus issue you referred to.  Unfortunately, we aren't aware of any solution to that particular problem.
