I managed to get my AirLink 500W Wireless camera setup for iCam without a PC. iCam dev team, I love you, but it's kind of silly that you haven't written out some instructions for those of us who don't own PCs.
I don't have the energy to write up a thorough explanation, but perhaps the iCam folks will fill in the gaps for y'all. Here's the gist of it:
1) Connect the camera to your Mac using the LAN cable.
2) In your computer's Network Preferences, add a new network configuration with the IP address 192.168.1.200 and the subnet mask 225.225.225.0 (make sure you click "Apply")
3) Open up a browser and go to:
http://192.168.1.240Now you have access to the camera. From here you can complete the configuration. Just use the "Smart Wizard" to get everything entered correctly.
The only tricky part is that you have to assign your camera a static IP address that's within your router's range. Here's how you'd do that if you had, say, a TimeCapsule:
1) Open your Airport Utility and select your TimeCapsule.
2) You should see your TimeCapsule's IP address (e.g. 10.0.1.1). That's your "Default Gateway."
3) Click "Manual Setup," then click "Internet" (at the top, next to "Printers"), then choose the "DHCP" tab.
4) The IP address that you give your camera needs to be between your "DHCP Beginning Address" and your "DHCP Ending Address." If your DHCP address begins at 10.0.1.2 and ends at 10.0.1.200, I'd choose something like 10.0.1.89 for your camera.
5) In all likelihood, you can keep the same Subnet Mask as before (255.255.255.0).
If you got the settings right, you're good to go. No PC needed. You can delete the network profile you created when you first connected to the camera.
