« on: September 01, 2010, 10:10:41 AM »
Maybe someone can help, I just downloaded the beta version of icamsource and bought icam for iphone and icamsource seems to work with the embedded camera on my mac laptop pro but it says "no sources = 0" but I do see the video. What is going on? can someone please help.

Finally, figured it out from the stickeys.

combination of wrong password, portforwarding, and static ip on a Mac. Now I have to connect at least one ip camera, now its working with internal camera.

Got another problem though, my mac is multiuser; how do I configure it so that it works no matter who is logged in? Any ideas? I will start reading some more.

On older versions of Mac OS X, the program was able to access the camera when the user was switched.  There still needed to be a master account that stayed logged in to run iCamSource, but you could switch to other logins.  However, that changed in Snow Leopard.  When the session is locked or is switched to a different user, Snow Leopard blocks iCamSource (or any other program) from accessing the camera

Worked, I setup the program to start automatically at logon for both accounts  and that was it. Simple.
