iCam Support / Re: I-Cam+
« Last post by Stefan on January 11, 2021, 03:02:14 PM »
Hi all,
Please excuse me if I sound really daft, is this the correct forum for I-cam+ V1.0.303?
We have just got security cameras for the first time. Baby boomers are on a real learning curve. Please take pity and help.
Can I avoid an ongoing monthly cloud fee by installing SD memory cards in our cameras?
Chris

No, we are the developers of the iCam mobile app: https://apps.apple.com/app/id296273730

It sounds like you are using a different, similarly-named product. (We don’t manufacture hardware cameras.)

iCam Support / Re: Troubleshooting 103 - Port Forwarding
« Last post by mudshark on December 20, 2020, 09:02:53 PM »
To use port forwarding, you will need to both enable port forwarding in the iCamSource and setup a port forwarding range in your router.
If you are running Windows, you will need to set an iCamSource registry key:
1. Download the following REG file to your computer.
2. Restart the iCamSource. You should now see a checkbox allowing you to enable Port Forwarding. Check it, and you should see the range 12000 to 12100 by default.

Trouble out of the gate getting port forwarding to work.

I download the reg file and merged it into the registry.
I stopped and restarted the iCamSource program but still I see no "Port Forwarding checkbox" under any tab in the iCam interface.

I also have "Notifications" checked, but I didn't see anywhere to enter an email or TXT number to send notifications to.

Thanks!

iCam Pro on your mobile device connects to the iCamSource Pro running on a Mac or Windows PC, or to the iCamSource Pro Mobile running on another mobile device. (iCam Pro is used to view iCamSource Pro cameras.)

Are you attempting to connect from the same local WiFi network, or when you are away from home?

I haven't been active on the forums in quite some time. If you're on the local network with the cameras, why not use a program such as iSpy or similar to view multiple camera feeds at once?

Since I updated to this, I am no longer able to login to my Mac's iCamSource Pro via my iCam Pro App.  Note: Should I be using iCamSource Pro App instead?  I had no idea I was using iCam Pro App all these times.. does this matter at all though?  And when I looked into the iCamSource Pro App.. it would cost $6. to get?  Shouldn't this be free download since I have purchased and using iCamSource Pro for many years now.

Error Message:  No Lan Sources Found
But my Mac's iCamSource Pro is up and running no problem.
Login and pw are all matched both Mac and iCam Pro App.

Please kindly advice for the right fix.
Thanks!

iCam Support / Viewing several icam cameras on a PC
« Last post by SeanJ on October 05, 2020, 10:09:04 AM »
I'm a long time user of icam and realise the monitoring of it is provided by Android or Apple pad/mobile devices if you want a multi camer view but I don't have that option in the current setup unfortunately. I'm currently using VNC to connect with my cameras and grouping the instances of vnc viewer on a pc monitor (not ideal). I'm asking does anyone know if I could be doing this a better way? Im trying to view 3 icam sources on a single PC essentially.  :)

thanks. Sean

What is the brand and model of network IP camera are you attempting to connect the iCamSource Pro to, to then view with iCam Pro? Does it support JPEG or MJPEG video streaming?

Here is the section of our iCam Pro Help pages about getting setup with a network IP camera: https://skjm.com/icampro/help/#ethernetwifi

I purchased both iCam Pro and iCamSource Pro and considering how much they cost I expected things to just work out of the box but disappointingly enough all I am getting on both iCam Pro on a PC and iCam Pro on a my iPhone when trying to find the iCamSource Pro running on second iPhone is "Your network IP camera could not be connected to ...."
I am exploring my options for a refund request as we speak.
