iCam Support / What is the ETA of Notification for Droids?

I'm interested in purchasing this app once it can work on my EVO the way it works on iPhones.
As in the famous burglary case, I'd like to get instant Notification on my EVO if the webcam detects motion.

When is this expected to be available?

Do I have to have my computer involved, in order to view the webcam in my home?

I only have a laptop, which I take with me when I travel.

I (naively, I guess) imagined that somehow there is a way to purchase a webcam, set it up in the home, and the webcam would connect via the airwaves somehow to the app on my iPhone.

Is this incorrect?

Is the only way for this app to operate - to have the webcam connected to a computer?
And then the information is conveyed to my iPhone via my computer?
Anotherwords, there has to be a computer turned on and attached to the webcam, in order for the app to receive video from the webcam?
