for some reason when I am typing a long post on here the text box starts jumping around is anyone else having that problem??  anyways back to continuing my post from above

connected via network cable I have a
Playstation 3

So going to static IP's I would have to setup all my other devices like this as well??? cause there are a few other things the kids use from time to time...like playstation protable and the Nintendo Ds, etc..

seems kinda complicated... ok here is what I have so far...
the camera's are working fine... I type in the IP address and it pulls up fine both on the one I have wireless to the router and the other one connected via network cable to the router. ( note it works wireless too just where I have it mounted I connected it via the cable.
In my router control panel I dont see anything about the uPNP, where would I look for this setting? The router I am using isnt old it is a Linksys model # WRT310N
I am not real familiar with setting up the static IP's and would prefer to avoid that if possible cause I use the router for quite a bit of connections... Here is currently what is connected thru it...not all at the same time thou..

Wireless devices accessing router

3 laptops
wireless printer shared by said laptops
Nintendo Wii
I-pod Touch
2 I-phones

ok, after I am reading a few other post I am not sure how all this is suppose to work and it is confusing..please excuse my ignorance but I would really like to get this hooked up to help me monitor my home while I am away. Especially having teenagers in/out of the house when the parents arent there..Just knowing it is there will keep them honest.

here is what all I have..

Linksys wireless router
2 airlink 500w IP cams
2 toshiba laptops
Iphone ( newest one)

starting out I had seen the news about the guy in Dallas catching the guys breaking in so this sparked my interest. I downloaded the app. Installed it on one of my laptops and used the built in cam to test it. Everything worked fine. It streamed from my laptop to my Iphone like it should. So then I purchased the 2 airlink cams hoping to get it setup..

Here is where I am getting confused, I was under the impression the cams would connect directionly to the router and stream it to my Iphone. But now I think I am reading that I will have to have Icamsource running on a comptuer which will transmit the stream to my Iphone. So will this work with a Laptop setup all setup wirelessly?

You used the correct IP address for each camera when trying to add it as a source? Is the video in your cameras password-protected? If so, are you inputing the username/password in icamsource?

yes used the correct IP. They are pw protected and I entered that in camsource.

Have you tried the MJPEG / JPEG URL prober page? - http://skjm.com/icam/mjpeg_test.php

did this and came up with a bunch of boxes with the "red x" nothing came up..

I entered the correct IP but not sure of the port...

Just picked up a pair of Airlink 101 500w  cams...installed the software they came with , updated the firmware and have them working either direct connected to the routre or wireless without any issues while using their supplied software.

now I want to get it connected with Icamsource/Icam so I can monitor it thru my Iphone. For some reason the camsource is not detecting either cam. I clicked on help and used the recommended IP links and didnt have any luck with them either...

anyone wanna give me some tips on how to get this setup, or a link to some directions.

Thanks in advance..

Considering this is a forum for iPhone app I wanted to make a suggestion but didn't know where to post it. Tmot sure if y'all are familiar with tapatalk but it makes forums mobile friendly for iphone users. It is simple to do
