This is a big help, thank you. A starting point :-). I'll come back if I encounter any other troubles. Thanks!

iCam Support / Installing Linksys WVG54GCA on iCam - questions« on: June 10, 2017, 02:29:59 PM »
Okay, I'll admit I am not the most tech-savvy. I was just given this cam from a friend. I already have my iSight on my MacBook installed to be used/viewed on my iCam app.
How do I add this camera to the mix? First find a suitable place and plug it in. Do I need to get it recognized by my home wi-fi network? How? Then where do I go (iCam Source? iCam app?) to get it integrated with my iCam? I kinda need a hand-holding here please. Thank you! 3

Any thoughts on either of these two?

iCam Pro Support / Re: iCam Pro VS iCam« on: May 02, 2015, 01:59:50 PM »
This is great. Do I need to Uninstall the iCam from my laptop and mobile devices before downloading the iCamPro, or will it write over the existing program automatically? Will I need to go through the re-configuratinon process again?
I am not super tech-savvy so the possibility of having to reconfigure is daunting and could prevent my upgrading. Thanks! 5

Hi Stefan and team!
I have a question, is the original post in this thread updated to reflect current cameras? If so, a "Updated on 1/1/15" or something would be helpful so we know it is not still a list from 2010. If not, where can I find an updated list? I just want a simple, "place it and go" type set up that has high quality. I do not want any wiring. Batteries would be better than plugging it in so I can place it on bookshelves, etc. Also, is there an outdoor one (sheltered, but still outdoor) that would no require any wiring (besides power) and still be super easy to set up and configure? Thanks! El Diablo Joe 6
iCam Pro Support / iCam Pro VS iCam« on: April 26, 2015, 04:26:27 PM »
I have had and loved iCam for years. What are the advantages to upgrading to iCamPro? Is there still a lifetime subscription available? What is it?
So far I only use the one built-in camera on my Macbook laptop, but plan on expanding the amount of cameras (and replacing the macbook) soon. Thanks! 7
iCam Support / Can't view videos on iPhone when source camera is off« on: May 27, 2010, 01:40:00 PM »
I cannot view recorded videos on my iPhone when the source camera is off. It would make sense to be able to sit at home and review video shot during the day, but once I've turned the camera off, I can't access video. Is this a bug or a feature?
Thanks 8
iCam Support / Re: New Mac OS update, now iCam won't turn on iSight camera« on: March 30, 2010, 10:03:58 PM »
Okay, got it working again. I have been playing with it this evening, and finally decided to shut it down, and reopen the icam Source software. It now appears to be up and running properly again (Woooo Hoooo!), I love this app!

iCam Support / New Mac OS update, now iCam won't turn on iSight camera« on: March 30, 2010, 09:17:29 AM »
I updated my MacBook OS Snow Leopard last night to the just released update.
When I went to start iCam this morning, the MacBook's built-in camera doesn't turn on. The iSight's green indicator light doesn't light up. The iCam Source software appears to be functioning. I can hit preferences but no image appears in the window box. I can press Start and it appears to engage. When I go to view via the iPhone app, I get nothing. This only began w the OS update. Anyone else experiencing this? 11
Network / IP Camera Compatibility / recommendations?« on: February 21, 2010, 12:15:01 PM »
I am new to the Mac world, but have a MacBook and use my iPhone alllll the time. I think the idea of a small camera network that allows me to see what is going on at home while I'm at work is a great idea.
I assume the following is needed: -iCam -iCamSource -MacBook -iPhone -cameras. I've got the first four handled (can d/l the first two to my MacBook and iPhone). I would like suggestions for reasonably priced and decent quality cameras with the simplest installation. Thank you.
