iCam Support / REQUEST: Hard Reset IPCAM02 / cannot connect
« on: January 16, 2010, 06:23:12 AM »
Hi
I recently bought an IPCAM02, I managed to get the software installed and then could not connect so tried web browser. I found the right address and at the point of adding an additional user and setting an administrator password the web borwser admin tool froze and then the application and web browser acccess were both gone.
I can still get video from http://x.x.x.x/video.cgi and snapshot from http://x.x.x.x/snapshot.cgi
I would like to carry out a hard reset and don't seem able to.
The manual says
hold down reset for 5 seconds then press power button.
NO power button??
Also, reset doesn't seem to do anything. If I power off and power on (remove the power cable) the camera does a pan and tilt but then gives 404 from the web interface address and app says web ui unavailable.
I suspect a hard reset will solve things but cannot do one.
