That seemed to do the trick. Thanks.

iCam Support / iCamSource window too small & not resizeable (re-visited)« on: August 02, 2010, 08:36:28 AM »
I know others have reported this problem but not for quite some time. I've tried to remedy the problem with suggestions in old posts, but "no joy."
I've reinstalled 1.4.2, added icamsource to ddfshow's exception lists (audio & video), rebooted, etc. and after numerous attempts, still get a preferences window that's too small to edit (not all options, text, buttons, etc. are viewable ... window's truncating them) and can't resize the window to see everything. Didn't have this problem with previous versions of icamsource. What's up? Help! Thanks. 3

OK, cpu usage results ...
Noticed that when I launch the logitech QC app, my cpu usage varies depending on the resolution of the feed I request. Only use about 15-20% when in 320x240 QVGA. iCam source, however, routinely pegs my cpu, especially when I connect w. iCam. Possible to modify iCam Source to use a lower res feed from my Quickcam Pro 9000 to minimize the cpu usage? 4

@Baddaddy ... mind sharing how you did this?
I'd like to add additional cameras but have only 1 PC I can do this with. Can you recommend good wifi camera? Any that are rated for outdoor use? thanks! Howard 6
iCam Support / Re: Timestamp for camera image« on: November 21, 2009, 03:09:06 AM »
Would love to see a date/timestamp on the live video feed in iCam.
When you get around to the "recording" feature, it would already be there, no? (Anyone aware of a way (or if it's even possible) to get a logitech quickcam 9000 to display this in the feed iCam Source picks up in the meantime ... besides the obvious option of having some kind of digital display that's viewable in the camera's field of view?) Thanks! Great app, btw. 7

Thanks Stefan.
Per your advice, updated all my OS and logitech software & drivers. During the process, logitech prompted me that while my PC specs (1.6 ghz, Pentium M laptop w 500mb ram) met its minimum requirements, they weren't "optimal" for the quickcam 9000 (*sigh*). I suspect this might be the reason for the audio cutting in and out. As far as video goes, it's hard to tell. I might be getting a frame or 2 a second on my iPhone while on my home network wifi, but have noticed that iCam Source video frame rate is much better. Maybe there's some issues with my network/internet connection as well that might be impeding the audio (?). Laptop's approaching its 5th birthday. Might be time to upgrade. 8

Problem:
Audio's good for 2-5 secs, then goes out for 2-5 secs. Doesn't matter if I'm on wifi or edge. Same thing.
