Been running 2.9a since the link was posted. Still no luck.

Here is the details from the error log

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I would love to test a copy of iCamSource 2.9a to see if that solves my problem.

I'm still experiencing the issues

Here I am a month later. No other suggestions to try out. I did what I posted above and it seemed to be working better. I could at least get a full 24-36 hours of solid run time before it crashed again.

Now I'm back to crashing every hour or two.

Do I need to start looking for alternatives?

Found this in the icam pro section.

Your iCamSource settings may have gotten into a bad state. You can reset them by downloading and running  the following Windows registry file and then re-starting the iCamSource: http://skjm.com/icam/CleaniCamKey.reg

I just ran the reg cleaner and re-set up the icam source info.

Will see it that fixed it

iCam Support / How do I find my cameras URL?
« on: December 09, 2018, 10:40:27 AM »
Not sure why this handy link is not shared more often.

http://skjm.com/icam/mjpeg_test.php

I find it way more useful than the standard link.

I buy my cameras from over seas. Who knows what brand they really are. But as long as you know the ip address and the password and port you can find the source feed you need to drop in and have them work!

Hope this helps

I'm not sure what else I could expand on

I had 6 camera on my system, it was running on a dedicated laptop with no issues. It was an old old Dell.

I got a newer laptop to use as the dedicated machine, it started giving me the error randomly.

At first I suspected my furthest away camera was causing the problems because it is usually in and out of wifi. I removed it from the list but the problem remained.

Then I figured the new laptop may be the problem so I put another machine in its place and it still gives the error

If I press quit on the error then open icam again it will work for a while.

The amount of time it works is not consistent. The machine only runs the icam source and TeamViewer so I can remotely reset if needed. It's on a high shelf and nobody touches it.

Let me know what other info you need

I prefer if possible to try and sort it out on the forum so if anyone else experiences the same issue we they may find the answer they need.

Lately I have been getting the same error after a few hours or after only a couple minutes

I will upload a screenshot of the message as soon as I figure out how on this forum
