iCam Support / Re: Using a TP Link indoor wifi camera with icam

95% of cameras wont work with iCam because they no longer support MJPEG.
iCamPro you have a chance but, even then, you have to go out of your way to look for the RTSP version of it

Network / IP Camera Compatibility / 2023 MJPEG Camera Suggestions?
« on: October 13, 2023, 05:18:37 PM »
Its getting harder and harder to find MJPEG cameras so im wondering if anyone has any suggestions for cameras in 2023 that still support MJPEG streams?

Im still using dlink cameras I purchased years ago but would like to upgrade to cameras with better night vision and better quality overall like the Wyze cameras.

Can iCamSourcePro run both MJPEG and RTSP streams at the same time? So basically the functionality of iCamSource in iCamSourcePro so I dont have to pay for two different softwares every month

All working fine again.

Maybe an issue with the proxy thing?

Fixed itself because all the LTE connections are going through again

I have cameras on 3 different networks. 2 on Shaw and 1 on Telus
Theres 9 cameras in total + any mobile ones I throw in here and there

When Im connected to wifi, all of the Wifi connected cams (iCamsource on PCs) connect fine

When I switch to LTE (using Telus or Fido network) only 3 out of the 7 cameras show up. Very random as to which ones do and dont  cause it changes every time I refresh.

When it comes to iCamsource on mobile, if the device running the server is connected to wifi, the viewer device connects fine. When you switch the server device to LTE, the viewer device no longer connects.

Icam has stopped working properly for the last two days for me

Icamsource on any phone Ive tried on wont load anything

Some cams are only loading on wifi and some cams are only loading on LTE, other cams like when using icamsource on the phone wont connect on LTE at all anymor regardless of carrier Ive tried everything to fix it but I think its an iCam issue over phone/network issue this time

Edit day 3:
Looks like I had a similar issue a little bit ago and just tested out what was on my previous  thread but nothing helped. I turned on auto config router on my phone but nothing happened.

I can see half my cameras when connected on LTE and on Wifi I can see the other half.

When it comes to icamsource mobile, regardless of if Im on LTE or WIFI, the camera doesnt show up. Just a spot for it does but it never connects.

UPNP shows success.

iCam Support / iCamSource stopped working on iPhone
« on: August 08, 2021, 11:06:15 AM »
Been working perfectly fine for years but yesterday it stopped and now i'm unable to connect to any cameras aside from the PC ones that are running icamsource

I've tried on multiple phones and multiple carriers on wii and LTE, also got a friend to try and he's having the same issue.

EDIT: Looks like it connects on the SAME wifi network, but not any other way

I'm having this same issue today

my last hard drive died so I had to get a new one and reinstall everything. IP cameras work fine but c920 wont work. It shows up in the list as a webcam but when I hit start, it just shows a gray screen

Camera works fine in the Logitech and Windows Camera apps.
I've tried all the USBs, ive tried uninstalling the drivers and letting them reinstall through Windows and downloading them through the Logitech website.
I've used iCamsource 2.9 and 2.9a

EDIT:
The last time I had this issue, I just had to plug a speaker in. No idea why but when I plugged in a speaker or earbuds, the cam would start but if I didn't have something plugged in, the camera would get some render error on iCam.

This time around, nothing is working

Not sure if it's a compatibility issue with the newest version of Windows 10

So I fixed my iPhone 5c and tested iCamSource on there and it works fine. Doesn't work on any devices using iOS 12.1+ though.

the iPhone 5C is running iOS 10.3.3. Ran a full factory reset on the iPhone 5c and on my iPhone to make sure it wasn't any settings I played with, but same problem. iPhone 7 doesn't work, but 5C works perfectly fine.

There's no error. It just shows connecting and wont connect at all on any device but the 5c

EDIT:
It was an issue with Fido/Rogers on the newer versions of iOS. No idea what it is, but any other providers works fine and connects.

Started having this issue lately after switching phones.

iCamSource worked perfectly on iPhone 5C on firmware 10.xx, i have no idea which one since the phone screen is currently broken. Been using it for about a year. I was using a Fido sim card

Now, after switching the phone and trying iPhone 7 and iPhone X, iCamSource won't connect on LTE, only WiFi. But when I try a Koodo sim card, it connects fine.

I'll have my new screen in a few days to see if the old phone still connects on Fido's network, but i'm not 100% sure what the issue is currently. Whether it's iCam, the phones, the firmware or combination of all 3

So I was having this same issue and contacted support. They ended up sending me "iCamSource 2.9a" or something like that and it's worked flawlessly since
