iCam Support / Re: dropped frames on full view not on preview

Yes, it happened on the previous release (1.3.1 - not the BETA) as well. I applied to BETA test hoping it would resolve the issue.

I am on wifi at home when I check (fullview and preview obviously) and all fullviews are choppy whether I've got 1 source running or all three.

Is there a way to adjust the level of streaming?

Windows iCamSource (on both computers)

iCamSource - Version 1.4.2.5 BETA (on both computers)

cam 1 on comp 1: Logitech Orbit Sphere (uses 3 CPU%)
cam 2 on comp 1: airlink AWCN200 Night vision Webcam (uses 6 CPU%)
cam 3 on comp 2: dynex webcam (not sure of model) (uses 25 CPU%)

comp 1: Vista OS  / Intel core Duo CPU E7300 @ 2.66GHz / 4.00 GB RAM / 300 GB HD
comp 2: Windows XP / AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile / 1.60GHz / 1.87 GB RAM / 120 GB HD

to clarify what i mean, here are some pics:

when i'm in this view on my iphone, all camera previews stream very, very smoothly.

but when i click on any 1 to see the full view as in : http://yfrog.com/0pk6jhp
it all goes SUPER choppy. obviously it's worse on the laptop which is running wirelessly, but even the two cams on the desktop which is hardwired to the router are choppy when viewd on fullview.

as i said, it doesn't happen on two other competitive apps so i don't know what's up. :(
i'd like to use icams but i won't be able to if they fullviews remain unwatchable. please help

THANKS SO MUCH

iCam Support / dropped frames on full view not on preview

when i load up i-cam on my iphone, i see my two cameras. they stream very smoothly in that screen.. almost movie like.

but as soon as i click to view either camera fullscreen on my phone, it's VERY jumpy and "unsmooth".

this happens on my wifi and 3g alike.

unfortunately, it DOES NOT happen when using a competitive home monitoring webcam app... that streams very well.
so i'm afraid it's something to do with icam. :(

any advice?

whoops never mind..
just figured it out!!

anyone else experiencing this.. just run icam again (so there are two instances running in your systray) and hook each one up to however many cams you have connected to that computer. easy.

meaning, if i have two USB cams but only one computer in the house i can only use 1 of the cams through icam?

some other apps (live cams) let you connect several sources to 1 comp. is this a feature of icam i am just not spotting?

thanks.

is this possible through icam?
i've seen a few other programs allow it and since i LOVE icam would LOVE to be able to do that to. just wondering.

thanks
