iCam Support / Re: WiFi Camera Recommendation
« on: September 11, 2009, 06:09:27 PM »iCamSource supports Wi-Fi cameras that output MJPEG or JPEG formatted data, so there are lots of cameras that should work. The Linksys WVC54GCA (not the WVC54GC) and the Airlink101 SkyIPCam250W are the models we own, so they've both been tested extensively.
Yes, you would need to run the iCamSource software on a computer in order to view the webcam video on your iPhone. With IP cameras, it won't matter which computer you run iCamSource on, as long as the computer stays up and isn't set to go to sleep.
so, to hijack this thread, why not add the capability to stream audio from these cameras? i purchased your software, and really would enjoy the benefits of using my MVC54GCA as a wireless IP based camera that could stream audio. Your software would sell like hotcakes (moreso than now) for use in monitoring kids... IMO
