iCam Support / Stopped recording motion events« on: January 13, 2013, 12:26:34 PM »
Hi, I have used icam for almost a year now with a foscam very successfully
However recently I have started having issues The infra red keeps turning off automatically The camera stops recording motion events but I can view live Everytime athe cam sauce software detects motion it opens a new file window. I think the issue may be because the cam software is switching off for some reason Has anyone any ideas, I used to be able to leave it for weeks without an issue, now were talking a night at best 3
iCam Support / Motion record stopped working« on: November 25, 2012, 04:58:14 PM »
I'm confused, everything worked fine........
All of a sudden I can view the live feed but the motion events are not recording on my computer or the Icam app on my ipad. It's odd since I haven't touched the settings and the live feed is working just fine I've checked my motion settings and clicked stop start and all looks ok Any ideas? 4

Hi, I am doing pretty well setting up but I need to know 2 things if you could help
1. How can I test to see if my set up will work out of my home? (just wondering if there is a way to test as wi-fi cafes are few and far between where I live) 2. Really struggling with this one...... If my connection drops or my computer re starts my connection is gone which is a problem when I am on holiday, is there a way to make it re start automatically? 5

When I set up Icam I got a bit click happy & clicked OK just as I saw a tick box along the lines of "allow access in public places eg cafe" I want to go back and tick this box but I can't find it anywhere in the settings - any idea?

I should have thought to mention I want to put it on the short side looking down the length. Not longways
I thought about putting outside but viewing would be restricted due to the design of the vivarium 9

OK I am new to all this to sorry for being a pain but all help is really appreciated... This is going to sound mad so no laughing
What I am looking to do is set up a infra red webcam in a vivarium that measures about 4ft by 2ft, would this camera be too big? Would it be able to cover most of the area ahead? (the 1st 9" wouldnt matter as nothing goes on there) Any suggestions would be appreciated 10
