There are loads of seemingly good external solar cameras on eBay for around $100. But none of them mention MJPEG video support. We've recently moved and up till then used a couple of D-Link cheap cameras that worked fine but a. weren't night cameras and b. were non waterproof or solar. Any movement was setup to go to Dropbox in a designated folder and could see everything on our iPhones or Apple Watches which is what we want to do at our new place and only externally. Anyone had any luck with this from eBay? Or any other suggestions for a reasonably priced one?

iCam Pro Support / Foscam C2 With icampro
« on: November 30, 2017, 12:28:14 AM »
Will this camera work with my current icampro setup on my Mac?  Currently using two dlink basic cameras with no night vision or two way communication. Looks like like the Foscam C2 supports both of these and supports mjpeg so I'm assuming I can just swap in two of these. Love icampro as it is one of the few if not the only app that has Apple Watch support and works beautifully. Nice clear pictures with motion on on our watches if there is any activity at home. Mainly our dogs wandering around. Saves digging in pockets and handbags for the phone. Also can have it saved into our Dropbox account in the cloud. Quite brilliant.

Old thread but hopefully Skjm see this. So up to now have been using icampro on my Mac and both iPhones with a couple of cheap dlink cameras. Works fine but no night vision and no audio except through my Mac iSight camera which works as a third camera. The reason we love icampro is that it has Apple Watch support and we save to a folder in Dropbox so even if the thieves took the lot we still have it due to mjpeg. So with these Amcrest cameras can we bypass their software and just carry on with our icampro setup? It's seemless but the old dlink cameras need to go.

iCam Pro Support / Re: Iffy connections with cameras

I think you are right. Signal may be too weak. Will have to watch next time it happens and then come back if necessary. As you say it may be a weak signal situation.

Only away. At home works perfectly. It is random. Often a refresh will bring up all three. It's worse on the Apple Watch which is so useful. I still have 21mb on Private tracker. Although I leave Public/Private activated rather than just Private on it's own. Don't know if that makes a difference.

iCam Pro Support / Iffy connections with cameras

I have two D-Link DCS930L wifi ip cameras plus the icam on my iMac. When away from home via 3G/4G the connections are randomly successful. Some times I get all three sometimes only one or two. On my Apple Watch sometimes I get a relevant camera image sometimes it just says Loading alert and nothing else. Is it the cameras that are rubbish or something else? The iMac is running MacOS Sierra, iPhones iOS 10.3.3 and WatchOS 3.2.3

Network / IP Camera Compatibility / D-Link DCS-390L and iCam app
« on: March 12, 2012, 09:15:48 PM »
I bought two of these and at the moment they have a buy one get one free by redemption offer so will end up with 4. At the moment they are running wirelessly with the mydlink app on the iPad and iPhone. Horrible apps compared to iCam app. However whilst i can get my iSight camera on my iMac working with iCamSource I've had no luck so far with the iCam app. I Can't work out how to add them in iCam Source. I bought IP Cam Config and that finds nothing. Any help would be appreciated as iCam is so much better than D-Links own apps. Plus they weren't Universal so had to buy the iPad app which was as bad as the iPhone app.

Since this got them working. Brilliant. But they are both called camera same as the iSight one. Can they be named?

Looking an idiot here I've worked out the naming too.  :P Actually I read the instructions on your website. But images on iPad in full screen are not sharp with image quality slider all the way to the right. The D-Link app is much sharper. I'm probably going to find out how  to fix that now.  ::)
