iCam Support / Re: total white out
« on: August 03, 2009, 09:10:31 PM »
I just had the same problem running XP...
whenever I start iCam I would get a white screen on my wifi camera.

To fix the issue,
I just had to recycle the power on the webcam and everything was back to normal  ;)

Hi All,
Well after reformatting my computer and updating XP (even non critical updates)
everything seems to be normal.

Make sure to update .NET framework using windows update.

Hopefully you won't have to go to the extent of reformatting your computers,
but I did have other underlying issues besides the slow frame rate...

Video frame rate is not always going to be fast, but it's definitely a lot better than
what I previously had.

thanks

iCam Support / Enhancement request: portrait support
« on: July 30, 2009, 08:49:38 PM »
Hello,

The landscape view is great for maximizing view for (4) cameras simulanteously
howvever it would be great if support for portrait mode is available to optimize veiwing of (2)
cameras at a time. And perhaps in portrait mode there would be (2) pages to flip through.

Thanks!

iCam Support / Re: Camera LED and IP Camera setup information.

Hi,
I don't know which webcams you have,
I own a logitech usb webcam and a linksys wireless g webcam.
I have both the LED lights turned off...
the best way to do this is by going to the webcam system preferences through
your desktop/laptop...
if it's a IP camera, type in the IP address of your  camera in your web-browser and you will be
led to the camera's systems preferences...there should be an option to
turn of LED.

Hope this helps.

In the best case scenario,
I'm hoping I can use your program to control all my
video viewings and recordings instead of using another software
running simultaneously for dvr... :D

I should've read this post first..instead of creating a new one.

Read Motion Masking on the title, and thought you wanted a feature
to hide something  ;D
but yeah I completely agree with this feature...please consider it more =)

Team,
Really enjoying the application you guys developed...
Can't wait to see future updates  :)

I hope it's possible to add Motion detection to a specified region.
That would be great!, especially for cams facing outside.
I do not need push notification alerting me whenever a car passes by,
I do however need push notification to
alert me whenever someone comes up to my door steps.

anyone else interested in such a feature???

Keep up the great work,
I have no problems paying for an upgrade for such a great application ;D

Thanks!

UPDATE:
Should've read the other topic that said "MOTION MASKING" hehe
either way I hope the developers consider this enhancement.
