iCam Support / Trying to connect to my work computer on a network

I work at a college and all our computers are networked. I tried running the iCamSource software on my iMac and I can see the camera view, but your program says Num Connected : 0. Is this easy/possible to fix. I have no idea what to do and your connecting problem posts did not make a lot of sense (to me) and sounded like they mainly pertained to computers connected directly to the Internet. Thanks!!
