I'm running ios8 and cannot seem to go to options/advanced screens.  The menu are unresponsive.

Have an older ios6 device, but whenever I open the app, it says update required and redirect me to app store even though there are no update.

Any idea?

If you are seeing the update message I would suggest deleting ipCam from your iPhone and re-downloading it from the Apple App Store. If you use the same iTunes account you will not be charged a second time.
