I'm running icam in iPhone 3g. I have a windows 7 laptop with webcam. On a wireless network. All is fine while I'm connected to the wireless network as I can see the webcam in my iPhone app. However when I was out today I tried to use it on 3g and it kept saying there was a connection error. Obviously the idea of me getting the app was so that I could keep an
eye on
things while I was out of the house and not in the wireless network. Can you please tell me how to fix this as it's not worth using otherwise.
Many thanks
Merlin

Do you perhaps have more than one router on your iCamSource network? What is/are the make and model of your router(s)? Also, what is the make and model of your cable or DSL modem? The reason I ask is that some modems also act as routers, and when there are more than one router on a network that makes connecting from outside of the network difficult.

Just one wireless modem/ router. It's a BT home hub.

If you could go to http://whatismyipaddress.com/ from the computer running the iCamSource and e-mail support@skjm.com what it says your external IP address is then we can attempt to look it up in the Broker Server logs and hopefully troubleshoot the problem.
Please reference this forum post in your e-mail.

Hello Stefan I'm going through the exact same situation, it works perfectly fine on wifi but when I switch to 3G I get the Sourse Connection Error. I will email you my ip address and hopefully you can help me!!

Hi
You kindly sent me the solution to my problem which was to set the manual entries on the BT homehub. However I can't find your email telling me what to do and I can't see it on here anywhere. Could you please forward it to me again? BT have reset the hub and this seems to have wiped what I changed and I can't use the iCam app at the moment.
Many thanks

From our records it looks like the link that we sent was to the step-by-step iCamSource port forwarding instructions: http://skjm.com/forum/index.php?topic=402.0
