Title: Installing AirLink101 cams on MAC
Post by: HatsOff on March 27, 2010, 12:31:02 PM
Love the app, using it flawlessly with my Mac's and iPhone's.  I decided to add a camera to our baby room so I bought the AirLink101 SkyIPCam747W because I saw on one of your posts that you guys use it with MAC's, but the install CD does not seem to work with MAC, what did you guys do to get your running?

Thanks!!

I don't believe we have yet heard of any reasonably-priced network IP cameras that advertise full Mac compatibility, unfortunately.

For the AirLinks we initially ran the IP configuration utility on a Windows machine to get it connected to our network, and once that was done we were able to connect to it without issue from our Macs. I'm not sure why this is the case with these camera manufacturers.

Another option, for those who don't have a PC, would be (what I did) to emulate* Windows XP on your mac,
so you could easily do the set up from your mac running windows.
