Title: Is there an IP camera that doesn't need a power plug?

I'm looking for an IP camera to monitor my child's room with iCam.

Is there an IP camera that doesn't need a power plug?

Unfortunately, we are not familiar with any battery-powered network IP cameras.

You could get a PoE (power over Ethernet) IP camera (or modify an existing IP camera to become a PoE camera if you have some basic soldering skills, and the correct parts required--parts would depend on distance)....but, of course, you'd have to run an Ethernet cable to it.

Or you could use an old iPhone, combined with the IPcam app and a dock (for power and to stand the phone up).
