I'm having a similar experience. I have used iCamSource virtually since it was first available and it has worked flawlessly. Beginning yesterday whenever I click on the icon to start it the "grey" icon appears in the top bar and then after some period of time goes away; never becomes the fully dark icon.
I can see iCamSource start in the "Activity Monitor", but then it goes away there too.
This is a MAC Pro running OS X version 10.8.4.
Any help would be appreciated!

Please make sure that you are running the latest versions of iCam and iCamSource available on our Support Pages here: http://skjm.com/icam/support.php (http://skjm.com/icam/support.php)

I did that before I posted my problem.

If iCamSource is crashing, there should be crash logs.
The crash logs would be in:
/Users/<Your Username>/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/iCamSource_<date_time>.crash.log
or in:
/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/iCamSource_<date_time>.crash.log
If you are running Mac OS 10.6.3: they moved the crash logs to /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports or /Users/<YourUsername>/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports
If you are running Lion: it hides the ~/Library directory for some reason. You can get to that directory by running Finder and then holding the Option key while clicking on the "Go" menu at the top of the screen. If you're holding down the Option key, "Library" will be one of the choices available. You should choose /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/iCamSource_<date_time>.crash.log. The crash logs should be there.
If you find crash logs, please send the most recent one to support@skjm.com (http://support@skjm.com). Also, please reference this forum post and your user name in your email.

I HAD hoped that some other changes, updates, etc. would have fixed this problem but I'm still having the problem. When I go to /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ I can't find any files named "iCamSource" anything. When I search the entire ~/Library for "iCamSource" I do NOT find any crash reports.

I would suggest closing the iCamSource application and then deleting your com.skjm.icamsource.plist file in your Library/Preferences folder in your home folder. Then, when you re-start the iCamSource, you will be starting with a fresh set of preferences, and hopefully things will act as expected.

I did as you suggested. iCamSource opens the configuration window, I put in the user and password information (I have a USB connected Logitech camera that has worked with iCamSource in the past). When I click on the "Start" button iCamSource quits.
I looked for something in .../CrashReporter but there is no entry there.

Make sure that Windows is fully updated through Windows Update and that you have the latest drivers installed for your webcam.
Also, please make sure there aren't any other video capture programs (such as Skype) running. They might be fighting iCamSource for access to the camera.
