I'm running iCam on a very powerful computer and extremely fast connection.
My system specs are:
- Intel Core i7 3.4 GHz Processor (2600k) running at ~ 4.4 Ghz
- 16GB of RAM
- AMD Radeon HD 6990
- Intel 510 SSD 120GB
- 2 x WD Caviar Black 2TB HDDs
I'm using a Logitech C910 webcam on Windows 7 Ultimate.
My connection speed is 105 mbps down, 20 mbps up. I'm using a D-Link 655 router and am hardwired to it.
My frame rate is around .5 - 1 fps in iCam, but much much higher in iCamSource. Running on local WIFI shows no improvement over 3G. I am able to get much better frame rates using RDP/LogMeIn/Splashtop right now.
Any help would be much appreciated.

It sounds like a bug that someone reported a few days ago. If that's what it is, the SKJM guys are working on a fix for it (or already have a fix for it).

There's a new version coming out in the next couple of days that has a fix for a framerate bug similar to the one you are describing.

The new Beta version is available here: http://skjm.com/forum/index.php?topic=3767.0
It has a fix for a bug that caused framerate problems similar to yours, so hopefully, this version will resolve your problem.

Thanks! I tried it but no luck, still getting 1 frame every 1-2 seconds.

That framerate is expected on 3G. Are you still seeing that framerate on the local Wi-Fi network?

Yes, local wifi does not improve framerate at all. It's basically a slideshow no matter I connect: local wifi, 3G, iPhone 4, iPad 2, or iCamWeb.

Is the framerate higher in thumbnail view than in full screen view (on the local Wi-Fi)? With the bug that was just fixed, the thumbnail framerate was normal while the full screen framerate was 1 frame every 1-2 seconds on local Wi-Fi.
