It seems that there was a bug in the latest version of the iCamSource that caused it to use the lower-quality audio compression setting. We have released 2.1.6 that increases the audio quality and reduces the bandwidth required for the audio stream.

Just FYI:  Just installed v2.1.6 over v2.1.5 and it is "crashing".  That is, when the Preferences window was opened, it closed by itself after about 1 minute and terminated the program ... also ... there was no audio on iPhone, and the video first was ok, and then just locked up.
---
I can't uninstall v2.1.6 to go back to v2.1.5.  I've tried to unistall the 2.1.6 version (also tried "Repair") ... each time after uninstall and re-boot I try to install v2.1.5 ... each time the process completes v2.1.6 is still there (including the lock up and audio problems)

We'll try and see if we can replicate the 2.1.6 issues. If you are unable to uninstall 2.1.5 to revert to 2.1.6, simply uninstall 2.1.6, delete the C:\Program Files\iCamSource folder, and re-install 2.1.5.

You might want to try the same steps to do a clean install of 2.1.6 to see if that helps the issues as well.

I'm back to v2.1.5 and all is well again.  Deleting the Program Files folder seemed to be the key. Thanks for the help.

Follow up.  All four of my camera sources are now working on v2.1.6.  It took a "clean install" (uninstall old version - including the Registry entries and Program Files folder) ... (and re-boot) but all seems to be working - including audio via iPhone.

I installed 2.1.6 this morning, and all appeared to be working fine.  Initially after installation, to verify everything worked, I went to portchecker.net, and received an "Error binding with Port 12000." I shut down iCam Source (exit), and reloaded with the same result.  My broadcast did show on my iPhone using Wi-Fi; however not on Edge.  After a reboot of my Win XP computer, all is working fine :)

@Grumpa - Excellent news. Thanks for the update. :)

@dkb52 - You will see the "Error binding with Port 12000" if the port checker is attempting to test port 12000 and the iCamSource is started and is already using it, so that is normal. Glad everything is working well for you as well. :)
