Hey I just downloaded your program, and it's really awesome.  But I was a bit worried if this is legal, especially the controlling the cam part.

Also, any chance that you could find some cams in South Korea?

Thanks for the positive feedback. :)

There are many public network IP cameras that were setup to allow anyone to control them, usually through a web browser. There are various lists out on the web of these public cameras that can be viewed and controlled. There are even lists on a number of the camera manufacturer's websites:

http://www.axis.com/solutions/video/gallery.htm
http://www.usa.canon.com/app/html/X-Zone/xzone/webcams.html

If an owner of a camera doesn't want their camera to be viewed, they can either add a password to it or contact us and we will remove it from our list.

Brilliant app. Really quite addictive.
Is there any way of adding my own IP camera to your list?

Thank you for the positive feedback. :)

If you tap the "Help" tab in the bottom-right corner you will notice that, in the top-right corner of the help page, there is a button that says "Submit New Camera"

Tap it and you can enter in the appropriate information for any camera that you would like to submit for addition to the public camera list. You could also send an e-mail to support@skjm.com with the camera info.

What an excellent app to complement the iCam app. Tried to leave feedback on the iPhone but was unable. Will try again later.

Great new app!!  love it!

How often are the new cams updated?
we have to wait for updated version through appstore for new cams?

We'll probably update the list of cameras once of twice a week, depending on what is submitted to us and what we discover for ourselves.

The list of new cameras will be loaded automatically onto iSpy once they become available, so no, you won't have to wait for a new release in the App Store. :)

Thanks for the positive feedback. :)

Do you know of any public webcams from Laredo, Texas? If so, post them here and we can add them to the list if they are compatible (and interesting). :)

The number of cams are growing,  really nice!

But it would be nice if the cam names have the country in them.
An arange by country option would be nice too.

iDirk - Thanks for the suggestions. There's probably room for the country name in the zoomed in view, but it might be a tight fit on the thumbnail view :)

I know it isn't exactly the same as your suggestion, but you can currently filter the cameras by country in the Search tab.  If you select the country and leave the keyword field blank, you'll see all of the cameras for that country.

Well this is me, posting on the discussion forums instead of giving a 1 star review =]. I would like to see more cameras in the ohio area. 44145-44039 or so area code, by the lake or generally in that area, if area codes doesn't help for searching, Lorain County or Cuyahoga county. ((at the moment i only found one ohio cam under search)) Thanks much for taking the time to read this.  ;D

Well thank you for doing that. :)

We'll look for Ohio-area cameras when we do the next camera update later this week.  ;D

Hi guys,

I absolutely love the app. Very, very addictive - hope you're proud of your work!

You're not very clear about how people can submit cameras. Do we have to own them or be in a position to give you permission to use them? I could send you the urls of a good twenty UK webcams, but I don't want to waste my time if you wouldn't be able to use them.

Keep up the good work,

Rich

Thanks for the great feedback. :)

Pretty much the only limitation to added cameras is that they use the MJPEG video compression format, as opposed to MPEG-4.

In the past we have looked for public cameras that were linked to from various places around the web, and included the interesting ones. People have submitted other webcams that have been a little more buried, but still linked directly to from the web.

If you can access it from the web, then we should be able to add it if it is a JPEG or MJPEG stream.

If you have a list of cameras that you would like us to add, you can submit them by either using the form in the app, or by sending us an e-mail at support@skjm.com

Thanks again! :)

Bonjour !

I like your app ! Very easy to use.

Good job !

Technical question : is it possible to add any public webcam ?
For example this one :
