iCam Support / Again about 3G connection... (PROBLEM SOLVED)
« on: September 28, 2010, 02:13:10 PM »
First of all sorry for my bad English.
Second... thanks to the guys of skjm for the very nice app.

I've read the forum to find a solution, but I'm afraid I was not able to find it. (I already know that there is another post about 3G connection problems... and i was not sure if i had to continue in that one.... sorry for any inconvenience)

And now my problem...

Some infos about my "gear":

OS: Mac Snow Leopard
Software installed:
 - iCamSource version 2.1.2

Iphone4
app installed
 - icam app.2.2

The problem:
I can't connect on 3G (with internet data)

What I did on the router:
- Port triggers:
Trigger range: Start port & end port 12000, protocol UDP (enabled)
Trigger range: Start port & end port 12100, protocol UDP (enabled)
( I left Target Range start/End=0; is that correct?)
- Forwarding:
I enabled Local IP address of my machine, to start/end port 12000 and 12100.

The result is:
- iCamSource is connected to the server (auto-config Router is disabled)
- I can perfectly see my camera in iPhone (iphone is connected to the same wi-fi)
-  everything works fine.

But... when I disconnect iPhone from wi-fi and I try to see again my camsource, I get the following error message:

"SOURCE CONNECTION ERROR - One or more of the iCamSources returned by the iCam Broker Server could not be connected to"

I also tried to check/uncheck Auto-config router... but no way. I can't connect.

What else can I do now? Any hint?

Thanks for your help.

EDIT:
PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
Finally I've found this post in this same forum... and solved my problem with 3G problems: http://skjm.com/forum/index.php?topic=402.0

Now everything is working: ALSO WITH 3G connection.
