: Hiding iCam?
: 0101001101010100 May 10, 2011, 05:12:22 AM
I have iCam and another webcam app installed on a PC and both work great. I recently installed both these softwares on a new laptop and and wanted them hidden. I was able to hide the other software easily as it didn't put itself in the control panel or Windows 7's notification area icons. After install I was able to easily hide the folders. iCam worked as expected on this laptop but I couldn't figure out out to hide it. It shows in the control panel and there is an icon in the notification area icons that I would prefer was not there. Folders can be hidden, but what's the point when all the other stuff is visible? Help please? Thanks

Ok but what about preventing iCam from showing in the control panel, especially under uninstall? Also is there anyway to prevent it from showing in running pocesses? thanks

How do you hide the picture folder? Can a different folder be selected to store the images on the source computer?

0101001101010100,

I changed the name of the executable file and renamed the folder that it was in. Then I ran it as a service to prevent it from showing up in the taskbar. I believe you can remove it from the uninstall screen in the control panel by editing the registry...but you'll have to google that.

earlc6,

You can change the picture folder from within icamsource. I haven't researched how to hide a folder, but I'm guessing a quick google search would help you out.
