iCam Web Bandwidth for viewing computer
« on: February 03, 2014, 06:48:47 PM »
Hi there, apologies if this has been answered before. I have just started using one webcam on my laptop running iCam Source to monitor my flat and it is currently on I believe 3-4 frames a second?

Just wondering, When I sign in through another computer somewhere else, how much bandwidth is the viewing computer using approximately per hour on the 3-4 frames a second?

I also wonder how much bandwidth the 3-4 frames per second is using on the iCam Source computer per hour as in this country we have quite severely capped internet.

Many thanks.

iCamSource (on your computer) will use 60MB of bandwidth in a month if it's left running. iCam uses about 10-20 kB per second while viewing cameras (on 3G, more on Wi-Fi).
