I can get the AMCREST 956W to work in the brower using the following URL after I provide user/password in the prompt

http://10.0.1.7/cgi-bin/mjpg/video.cgi?subtype=1

In iCamsource software, I have setup the url and user/password. When I hit start, I get 401 - Webcam Authorization failure.

I know user and password because I can get the browser to view the 956W.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Correct.. it works with Homekit.  While I agreed this usecase is related for mobile device, but seeing these cameras on our home TV is very useful.  As more and more smarthome technologies emergy for video cameras, I believe supporting Apple TV, Fire TV, Google and so on becomes strong usecase.

i am looking at HomeCam as a replacement to iCam.   I am hopeful SKJM will consider to server and client support on the Apple TV Gen4/5.   i really like your solution.

I have had an ongoing problem with AT&T 3G connecting to iCam on my iPad..(original).  Over wireless, both home and on the road (hotel wireless), icam works great. My wife's iphone 5 over LTE on verizon works wonderfully too....

Any thoughts?
