Is this with the latest version of the iCamSource (2.1.5)?

We haven't had any other reports of this happening, which is strange because you would think a large number of people use AVG.

(We personally use Microsoft's Security Essentials on our Windows computers.)

Over the years there was another anti-virus application that reported the iCamSource as malware a couple of times, and those were definitely false-positives as well.

ok since i posted this AVG has updated again.

I therefore decided to removed Icam from the allowed list rule in avg, i then rebooted.  after reboot I tried launching and scanning ICAMSOURCE.EXE and it scanned as normal with no moaning therefore all i can assume is it was that night update that misidentified the application.

you might as well delete this topic now, or leave it for referance up to you.
