I got asked alot if it's possible to take a picture with a emulator, the answer was no, no and again no.
Emulators are starting to get popular, now that it makes it possible to run popular apps like WhatsApp on the PC.
Everybody has settled down with the answer that there won't be a camera for Android SDK or Youwave.
Than it hit me, all we need is a app like iCam. But it has to be able to take a snapshot (pic) or record (vid) to the SD CARD of the phone. Till so far nothing comes closer than iCam, it only needs a snapshot and recording feature. It might boost the profits by hitting a new target audience, the emulators.
My video has hit 20.000 viewers in the last month and still increasing

Thank you for your post.
The option to record directly to the SD card/phone has been requested in the past and is currently on our list of potential features to implement in the future.
-
Pitch to zoom, would be ideal!!
-
Did you mean pinch to zoom? If so, pinch to zoom has been requested in the past and is currently on our list of potential features to implement in the future.

I would really like to see the icamsource for pc turned into a service that doens't require a "user" to run, this would allow it work at computer startup and not login. Additionally, would love it if you could turn camera on and off remotely, basically start and stop the recording/watching part remotely.
-
Both an option to run iCamSource as a service and a remote Start/Stop feature have been requested in the past and are currently on our list of potential features to implement in the future.

noslack - if you google enough their are free programs that can turn any windows executable into a windows service. I have not done it with this particular program but have done it with others without an issue.

Well Im back again, it has been 5 months now since I requested the save to SD CARD feature...
In the meantime my video has hit 220.000 viewers, yes 200.000 more viewers... which is a lot for the subject in question.
Allmost all of them are asking for webcam support, emulators are not equiped with any hardware cam...
Could there be any date estimated on this fauture, for example 3 months from now or something like that...
I know you can't be specific... but I currently don't have the feeling that this feauture is being worked on....
so please reply... instead of copy paste answers

This feature is not currently being worked on. The ability to record to the phone is something that is on our list of features to potentially implement in the future, but it is not currently one of our top development priorities. It's possible that it may be added in the future, but we can't give any time frame for that.

Just an update my video has hit 300.000 viewers... and there is still no software that can do this Save to SD CARD trick
As a programmer I dont think this feature should be hard to built in, why is it taking so long? Is there only one guy programming?
-
As stated above, this feature is not a development priority.

We need an option for recorded images when detected from motion detection to be forwarded to email and sent out automatically, What good is it to only be able to see images that have been taken if your laptop is stolen ?
-
They have often suggested using Dropbox. I just started using it recently and I have been very impressed. It is discussed any many forums. Sorry you have missed it. Oh and there is a good app as well to access it from your phone as well. Bonus: I keep it cleared up daily so it is free for me.
