Both of those features have been requested by other users. We're looking into them.
Currently, most of our development effort is focused on the Windows beta test and Mac bugfixes. Once that calms down a little, we'll be able to add some of the requested features.

Please refer to this forum thread in your email, so I know it's you
1. Several users have asked for the ability to auto-start the cam. It should be pretty easy to do, so I expect it will be in there pretty soon.
2. Several users have reported successfully using multiple cams on the same computer (on Mac and Windows) by copying the executable and running multiple instances. I understand the point you're making about crowding.
3. Other users have asked for this one as well, so there's a good chance it'll be in an upcoming version.
Currently, we're pretty focused on the Windows Beta test. Once that has calmed down a little, we can focus on adding these features and others that have been requested.
I'm glad you asked. Several users have asked this, so it'll be good to have the info in the forum
Currently, iCam supports USB, Firewire, DV camcorders, and built-in cams on Mac OS X and USB and built-in cams on Windows. We don't support any network/wifi cams. The reason for this is that there is no communication standard for network cams. Each brand of network cam uses their own proprietary communication, which means we would have to develop separately for each brand of network cam.
That said, we'll develop pretty much any requested feature as long as there's enough user interest to justify the development effort. So, if there seems to be a lot of user demand for network cam support, we may end up adding it in the future.
There is a new test release with a pretty big bug fix. The bug was causing some users to see scrambled images, but the underlying issue could have possibly caused behavior like you are seeing. Please download the test version linked below. If this bugfix does not help your issue, please let us know at support@skjm.com.
Edit: Removed link to version 0.1.1, added link to latest version
After a full day of debugging we believe we have fixed the issue. If you are experiencing the rainbow colored images on your iPhone, please install this update on your Windows machine and let us know how it goes:
Edt: Removed link to version 0.1.1, added link to latest version
The "Source Connection Error" often indicates an issue with a router or firewall/security software installed on your computer. Port forwarding would not help in this case because iCam uses firewall piercing techniques to get through firewalls.
Could you please send an email to support@skjm.com with:
1. Your router brand/model info 2. A description of any firewall/security software running on your computer. 3. The external IP of your computer. You can get your external ip by going to http://whatismyip.com.
Once we get that info, we'll probably have you try to connect to a test camera.
We were finally able to replicate this colorful static behavior. That will make it much easier to diagnose what's causing the problem. Hopefully, we'll have an update out to fix it within the next couple of days. When a fix is available, I'll post to this thread.
UPDATE: There is a new release available that seems to resolve this issue. If you are experiencing this problem, please download it at http://skjm.com/icam/iCamSetup.exe and let us know how it goes. --------------------------------------------------------
Thank you very much to everybody that has been helping beta test the new Windows version of iCamSource.
One issue that has shown up is that the image that is displayed on the iPhone is garbled, it looks like colorful static. This appears to be an issue with the encoding process.
If you're seeing similar behavior, please post in this thread or email support@skjm.com.
It sounds like you're getting a "Source Connection Error", which means you were able to connect to the Broker Server, but not able to connect to your desktop computer.
To help narrow down the problem, I'll send you a private message through this forum with a login and password to a test cam.
