iCam Support / 3 copies of 1 camera Thumbnail on iCam on iPhone?
« on: August 30, 2014, 12:25:42 PM »
I've got 2 wireless ip cameras and 2 usb connected webcams on my iCam Source.
When I view on iPhone a 2x3 window opens up with one thumbnail each for 3 of the cameras, but 3 copies of the thumbnail for one usb webcam.

I can I get the window down to 2x2 with only one appearance for each camera?

(Also at times I get 3x3 or more window with multiples of one camera and empty spaces which aren't needed but I can't make go away.

I'm attaching picture of what the iPhone screen looks like. (oops, don't see how I can attach a jpg?)

Any ideas?

iCam Support / Re: iCamWeb Signed Java Applet
« on: August 26, 2014, 05:42:44 PM »
I've had iCam working from my iPhone fine for a long time.
I just discovered that iCamWeb existed but can't make it work on my MacBookPro to view cameras at home with iCamSource running on a desktop computer there.

I get "Application Blocked by Security settings.  Your security settings have blocked a self-signed application from running."

I found an old post that said open up Mac System Security setting to Anyone for downloads, but that didn't work.

I'm on Mac os 10.9.4
Any suggestions?

iCam Support / 2 USB Webcams, 1 computer, Mac, no go
« on: January 16, 2010, 10:01:30 AM »
I've seen other posts with 2 camera issues, but not recent with my combination.
Any help would be appreciated.  This is a great app. but can't get 2 cams to work at the same time.

I've got 2 Dynex 1.3 usb webcams directly connected to an 1.8 ghz iMac with OS10.4.11.
I've got v1.4 of iCamSource.  I'm using iTouch on Wi-Fi to do the remote accessing.

I've made extra copy of iCamSource as various posts suggest.  I can view either camera individually.  When I open an iCamSource copy both cameras show up in the pull down menu for Video. But if I try to have both open simultaneously, only the first cam's video shows, the second just shows white screen.  If I reverse the order of opening the 2 iCamSource copies, only the first one's Video comes thru, the 2nd is blank white.

Everything's set with the same ID's and password.  One additional behavior that may offer clue... If I leave the 2 cams plugged in to iMac, even if only 1 iCamSource is open, I can't view via my iTouch.  I get Source Connection Error.  If I have only 1 cam plugged in and it's iCamSource open, I can view fine via my iTouch.  Either cam will work individually if it's the only one plugged in.

Can anyone help with this?  I know Mac is not fully supported, but it sounds like some wizards have found ways to make things work.

ps:  I'd paste in some screen shots, but can't figure out how to do that on this Forum

iCam Support / iCam Source on 2 Macs, Can't connect to both at same time
« on: January 03, 2010, 07:27:28 PM »
I've got iCam Source installed on 2 different Macs, iMac at 10.4.11 with USB webcam and MacBookPro at 10.5.8 using iSight built in.
Each of them will work individually if I have the other iCam Source shut-down, but if I have both "on", I get error that one "can't connect"

Suggestions?

I notice that in the lower left corner of the Preferences window there's a label saying "Num connected: 0".
What is meaning of that?  Is that a clue to problem?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Jim
