"The iCam Pro Service is required to connect to your cameras from outside of your local network and to receive notifications when motion or sound are detected, however certain setups may require additional configurations.
Did you try checking the Auto-Config Router checkbox in iCamSource Pro?"
NO, I have not tried the Auto-Config Router checkbox (lately)! Support coached me on manual configuration years ago, and those settings should still be valid (since things worked).
I know subscription service is required to see cameras "away from home" different networks; which is why I mentioned it appears iCam Pro/iCamSource Pro is not recognizing the purchase.
Everything works in iCam, everything worked in iCamPro until the CA storms.
I have the same problem!! It started firm today (implying my settings from yesterday or before should not have changed).
I reverted to iCam/iCamSource and everything appears as it should (at home and away) Restarted iCamPro/iCamSource Pro and cannot view my cameras away from home. So, it appears this is a "Pro" version issue. As if the subscription purchase it not being recognized.
Not sure this will help; but I had the same problem.
The URL for my IP camera used "video.cgi" I deleted the "cgi" part. Upon starting iCamSource Pro again, the program added the "cgi" back, but all worked properly.
This issue returned twice, and was corrected using the method above, and has not returned recently.
The Wansview "L" series camera seems to work with iCamPro, iCamSourcePro using the following URL suffix: /snapshot.cgi, /user/videostream.cgi, and /videostream.cgi
Audio is not critical since I will swap this camera with one where I do not need audio at this time.
Audio&Video Resolution 640*480/320*240/160*120 Video compression MJPEG Max FPS 30FPS Bitrate 5Mbps Picture rotation Mirror/flip OSD support Audio compression ADPCM Internet Basic protocol TCP/IP、UDP/IP、HTTP、SMTP、FTP、DHCP、DDNS、UPNP、NTP、802.11bgn Other protocol P2P
I appreciate "no audio" especially since I have to use "snapshot.cgi" instead of "Video.cgi."
Still have my 1st problem of preferences preview is gray instead of showing camera view using "video.cgi" I guess "video" should be there as the "L" series and "B" series support MJPEG compression.
Due to an enormous amount of blowing rain, I had to replace one of my IP cameras. After setting up the camera, running iCamSource Pro, I only "see" a gray screen in the preferences window ("connected to server," other cameras show correctly, no "errors" show).
I clicked on the "URL" link in the preferences; which suggested trying "snapshot.cgi" instead of "video.cgi." Changing to snapshot did bring my camera view back in the preferences preview and iCamPro. Sadly of course I lose audio using the snapshot setting.
Looking back at my camera, I discovered it only has "VGA" and "QVGA" resolution settings (instead of 320x240 etc.). So it would appear iCamSource Pro (video.cgi) does not know how to interpret the data from the new camera.
HELP! Audio is important in that monitored area.
Camera is a WANSVIEW, "L" series. The "B" series cameras work fine.
Not sure what seems to have corrupted iCamPro on my iOS devices; but I reinstalled the App (iPhone 5, iPad Mini) and log-information. All is running again.
Since the iCamSourcePro update to v. 1.0.3 (windows 7) my cameras shown in iCamPro seem to sequentially close with the message "Connection Closed," as if I stopped the broadcast. Once all my cameras (three) show the connection closed (in iCamPro) I receive the "No Sources Found" error.
Returning to iCamSourcePro, the preview pane indicates "connected to server" and all cameras are shown in the preview window.
If I refresh iCamPro before the "connection closed" for all three cameras appears, the "closed" cameras reappear. However if all three cameras show the "connection closed" message, a refresh results in No Sources Found.
Even though iCamSourcePro indicates connected to server, and previews all three cameras, the only way to get my cameras to reappear in iCamPro, is to STOP and START iCamSourcePro.
If needed, I sent my IP address via separate email (same subject)
The IP Camera giving problems, seems to be working now.
The URL suffix for this camera was "/video.cgi" I removed this suffix (problem camera only). Upon starting (broadcast), iCamSourcePro added the suffix back; but seems to have corrected the problem.
System: Windows 7 Home Premium iCamSourcePro: v1.0.2
Launching iCamSourcePro, the "Preferences Window" shows normally with 3 IP cameras and correct information. Selecting "Start" the preference window indicates "Connected to Server;" however immediately results in the subject error.
Actions: Rebooted Computer: Same Error Result Uninstalled/Reinstalled iCamSource Pro: Same Error Result.
I have been using iCamSourcePro for a few months now, this error appeared last night.
I reverted back to the older iCamSource, and everything loads and functions properly.
Afterthought: I was watching a recorded program through DirecTV's Genie-Go, and received "GenieGo Stopped Working" error (before I was aware iCamSourcePro stopped working).
I ran the Clean Registry Key program, but re-launching iCamSourcePro, all my original settings were still present. I'm guessing there are different versions for iCamSource and iCamSourcePro?
***I removed ALL IP Cameras then added them back one at a time.*** Everything worked until I added a third IP Camera. The subject error returned. Removed the third camera, things worked normally. Added ipCam, all worked normally. Added internal webcam, things work normally. Added address for original IP camera back, subject error returned.
I know the camera and IP address, port, etc are working as I can access the camera through iCamSource (old version) and other monitor programs. It appears iCamSourcePro has locked the address out.
You all did a mahvolous upgrade with the Pro version.
Favorites: Recording Sound too (love it). Red Button: I can STOP recording of a motion event (if it's nothing); or START recording on my own whim. Motion Event Zones: I no longer have to wait to adjust zones after I get home.
Excellent improvements & Thank You for the FREE iPhone App upgrade from iCam to iCam Pro!
I had a similar issue. When you zoom in on a camera, tap it to see the controls. On the bottom in the center for the motion indicator, see if a speaker shows in that indicator. If the speaker is present, tap it to turn it OFF. Fixed my problem!
You won't get audio on iCamSource or iCamWeb. So that narrows audio down to iCam on your iPhone. I can only suggest checking iCam Options (little "i") where the camera view is. Tap that and check the iCam Options to be sure audio is turned on.
Currently, I like the "delete" features as they are. Especially, since I still accidentally delete motion events I wanted to keep. I can open the camera (iCam), View Motion Events; then delete ALL events for that camera, or right-swipe an event folder and delete it, or open the event folder and delete individual images. Since I'm accident prone, I definitely do NOT want a button to delete everything for all cameras at the same time.
I too had "light activation" problems. For "fixed" locations (like car headlights) going past, I enabled motion detections zones, and "X'd" those areas where light was a problem. Usually, the sun and clouds would only record 1 or 2 event images at a time. So, I increased the threshold for events to 3. That way, any events (2 or less) are deleted by iCamSource for me.
I attempted to set motion zones for the sun and cloud movement; however after discovering the sun does indeed revolve around me, I found increasing the motion event threshold much easier to manage.
Still looking for a way to "lock" folders so I stop accidentally deleting them with over zealous thumb swipes.
