How many cameras are you using with the iCamSource Pro?

Presently using three wifi cameras.  Just deleted one to see if this made any different.  It did not make any difference

Was the iCamSource more stable than the iCamSource Pro? (I am assuming that you are not attempting to run both applications at the same time?)

iCamSource seemed more stable before.  I am not attempting to run both simultaneously

Been a long time iCam user and upgraded to the windows pro version and it seems after a few hours of working, it just stops.

It is either icamsourcepro is not responding or iCamsourcePro.exe has stopped working.

Any ideas as what could be causing this? Using version 1.3.1.1

Thank you

iCam Pro Support / Is Support DEAD on this forum???
« on: May 28, 2020, 08:44:49 AM »

Just wondering if support is offered here anymore.

I left a message on Feb 08 asking about a problem on the iCam forum and it was never replied to;

I upgraded to the iCam Pro app to see if that would work better and I posted a issue this week that I am having with it and I received no response.

Been a user since 2011, please tell me if it is time to move on.

Regards

iCam Support / Re: iCam stops working, have to reboot pc

Hello??

Any suggestions?

Also after some more troubleshooting I can add the following.

This will happen on the phone being on the "home" wifi network and a wireless carrier network.

I still get notifications that motion is happening on the cameras that are not showing.

When I uncheck UPnP on Icam source, the cameras will show on the wifi home network. The UPnP checkbox
has been checked in the past and everything worked fine previously.

I do believe the firmware of the router was updated approximately a day before this started happening.

Anything to look for in the router settings, that a firmware update might of changed?

Ports are all forwarded correctly.

Virus and security software turned off temporarily to check and still not showing on mobile device

System has two windows pcs running.  One running to wired usb cameras (no problems on that pc)
Another running three wifi cameras (this is the machine with the cameras that dissappear every 24 hours)

When the problem occurs, I have two (usb cameras) showing and 3 black squares for the other inop cameras.

Thank you

iCam Support / iCam stops working, have to reboot pc
« on: February 05, 2020, 05:54:09 PM »

Any suggestions for the following problem.

iCam has been rock solid for the years I've used it.

It seems I have to reboot every day to get the cameras to show on the iphone.

The wifi cameras are showing on icam source that is running on the pc but not on my phone.

I reboot the  windows pc and start icam source and everything is fine, but it seems the next day I cant view the cameras on the phone.

I reboot again and everything is fine until the next day.

Any ideas? I have reinstalled icam source 2.9 and this doesn't help.

Thank you in advance

We're currently trying to track down one final issue, where the recorded videos don't include audio ... So yes, still working on it. :)

Thanks again for your patience!

Any updates?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.  No I am not seeing any image or video in icam source.

I have tried all the codes at the link and didnt have any luck.  As some of them state not finding the camera and some state not correct user/password.

Oh well, thanks for the suggestions

Just not sure if I need to turn something on in the camera settings as I see other people in other sites have stated they were able to pull the mjpeg stream

Thanks again

After trying different codes I found on other sites that mention they are able to pull a Mpjeg stream, now I am getting the following response from Icam

Cannot find Audio data. Your IP camera may not be supported.  Other url codes I get 401 Webcam authorization error, but I know my login and password are correct

Hoping to hear from someone, even a SKJM employee.  As they mentioned they had luck with an Amcrest camera:

Thanks

Been using Icam for years and one of my Tenvis cameras just died.

I did some searching on these forums and saw a thread about the Amcrest cameras.  Even though they were H264 there was a thread the newer cameras had MJPEG also.
So I received it today and am having difficulty getting it to work with icam.

I see in the settings under enable substream a drop down box that has MJPEG for encode mode.  I have tried changing this, but I get error messages in Icam source.  Is this the stream I need? Any suggestions on how to access this stream?

Am I out of luck or has anyone gotten the Amcrest to work?

Thanks for any info

Jim

iCam Support / Re: Icamsource 2.7.2 Stopped recording
« on: January 03, 2018, 05:11:50 PM »

Yes, I could not find the windows 2.7.2 version on your site.  I was using the install file that I still had on my pc.

Noticed for some reason, my calendar was showing Jan 3 2017, today.  But I downloaded 2.7.2 from your link above and all is working fine now.

Not sure if I had corrupted version of 2.7.2 on my system or my calendar went wonky.

Thanks for the help!

iCam Support / Icamsource 2.7.2 Stopped recording
« on: January 02, 2018, 05:15:17 PM »

Hello,

Longtime iCam user. A few days ago, I noticed my icam app is not recording.  My last recording on my 3 cameras was 12/09/17.

I have run cleanicamkey.reg a few times and reinstalled 2.7.2 and my cams will send notifications, but will not record.

I have record motion selected on the app.

I  try and download a newer version and I keep getting "not a valid win32" error so 2.7.2 is the latest I am able to find and install without a Win32 error.

I am using XP professional service pack 3 with over 10 gig of free space.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you

Stephan,

Can you help me with understanding what might be wrong
?  I am able to log into my cameras with the Foscam app.  I have my cameras ports in the Foscam app.  I have the the the port range set in Icam but I keep getting the question to buy more private...
The cameras connect flawlessly from the Foscam app from thousands of miles away but not iCam?

Please help
Ponti

Did you forward the same UDP (not TCP) port range in your router that you entered into the iCamSource? If you have forwarded TCP ports in your router to connect directly to your IP cameras using a Foscam app then you will also need to forward a range of UDP ports in your router so that you can connect iCam to the iCamSource when you are away from your network.

Sorry missed the above reply.  Been on the road for three weeks.  I will check tonight

Thanks
Ponti

@Pontihog - i'm no expert but things just got a whole lot better by using the registry file that gives icam source it's port ranges visible in the program. Have you got that installed? and if so turn of 'auto configure' ports and set your ranges and duplicate these in your router port forwarding and that's about all the advice I can give, that little registry update that gave me the port ranges visible was a big help, though I am using icam on 4 seperate PC's. Maybe that could help you with your situation. The proxy support screen is one of the default displays for a non connection so I no longer attribute anything to it more than that now.

Sean,
Thanks, yes I have used the registry file.  I have used that for quite a while.

I am hoping someone can answer why I can connect with the Foscam and Tenvis apps reliably everytime, but Icam has turned unreliable.

I can VNC and use other manufactures apps 100 % of the time but everytime I use iCam I get buy Proxy time.

Why?

If you were once able to reliably connect with iCam but now are unable to, then something has either changed with the iCamSource's network or computer configuration, or something has changed with the remote network that iCam connects to.

If you have a new home router, if its firmware has been updated, or if security software has been installed or updated on your home computer, then that could affect the connectivity from outside of your local network if the new configuration is more restrictive.

If you have setup port forwarding in the iCamSource and your router

If your home router has a separate "Guest" WiFi network that your computer is now connecting to, guest networks are usually much more restrictive when it comes to peer-to-peer communication, so the solution would be to connect your computer to the router's primary WiFi network instead.

If you are connecting remotely via WiFi using iCam, then that network may have added some additional security, causing it to become more restrictive.

If you are connecting remotely via LTE using iCam, then your mobile provider may have changed the networking configuration or security of its network, causing it to become more restrictive.

Connecting to your home computer from outside of your local network can be difficult as there are a number of security mechanisms specifically designed to block incoming connections to your network. That being said, we will be more than happy to help troubleshoot any connectivity problem with you.

Proxy Support is merely an option for users who would do not want to troubleshoot and configure their setup.
