Remote beach webcam

I want to be able to text a phone and have it send me an image form a camera I am planning to set up on a remote beach. (no more long drives to get lousy small waves).
will  icam do this?

No, but iCam will allow you to view the camera live from your smart phone if you have a computer running icamsource (the software that monitors the camera and feeds the camera to your phone). You would be able to view live as long as that computer is running icamsource. If you're using a USB camera, the computer running icamsource will have to be at the beach site. If you are using an IP camera, you could have the computer either at the beach site or your current site...although it is trickier to set up if the 2 are at different sites, and the performance won't be as good.
