Any issues with 10.9.5 quitting
« on: October 08, 2014, 04:44:36 PM »
Is anyone having issues with iCamSource 2.7.2.2 quitting during use.

I have been running iCam for at least 4 years now without any issues.

The last few days I have come home and iCam is not running on my Mac. It seems to be just quitting. Nothing has changed apart from I did a 10.9.5 update when that was released. Thats the only thing that has changed on my system. My iMac is just running iCam and iTunes and thats it, it's left on 24/7

If iCamSource is crashing, there should be crash logs.

The crash logs would be in:

/Users/<Your Username>/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/iCamSource_<date_time>.crash.log

or in:

/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/iCamSource_<date_time>.crash.log

If you are running Mac OS 10.6.3: they moved the crash logs to /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports or /Users/<YourUsername>/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports

If you are running Lion: it hides the ~/Library directory for some reason. You can get to that directory by running Finder and then holding the Option key while clicking on the "Go" menu at the top of the screen. If you’re holding down the Option key, "Library" will be one of the choices available. You should choose /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/iCamSource_<date_time>.crash.log. The crash logs should be there.

If you find crash logs, please send the most recent one to support@skjm.com

Also, please reference this forum post and your user name in your email.

Strange I have no crash report for iCamSource if fact the "CrashReporter" is empty.

I shall monitor it for a few days and see, today when I got home it was still running.

Thanks for the reply and now I know where to look for crash log.

Random times it still just shutdown without any error or warning.

Not sure what causing this.

All I have running on this mac is iTunes, the mac is left on 24/7 for the iCam and iTunes, thats it's running 10.9.5

Still no error log being generated I guess because it's not crashing.

How many cameras are you running and what are the Brand/Models of each? Please send a screenshot of the iCamSource window to support@skjm.com, so we can verify the settings. Also, please reference this forum post and your user name in your email.

I too am having 2.7.2.2 crashing multiple times a day. Mac Pro 2009 10gb ram running Yosemite.Time Capsule (newest version) Cox Broadband. No warning, no crash logs, just quits. Seems to be caused by accessing from iphone. I was home all weekend and didn't need to view from icam on iPhone and cam source did not crash once. Running 4 cameras. 2 Airlink 101AICN777w, 1 sharx scnc2667w, and 1 panasonic BL-C131A
