How to hide iphone screen when Ipcam is in use

Just bought Ipcam app for Iphone. Works well, but I need to hide the Iphone screen when Ipcam is running. This is because I have to catch a burglar and I don't want he/she realizes that Iphone is working.
Can you help me out? Thank you. Gianni

Bump - this is important, not just because I don't want people to see that they are being recorded... but I don't want my iPhone's screen on 24 hours a day.

Tap the video preview to darken the screen.
