Just got mine working from Jay in Tech Support.  (Thanks Jay!)
The IPCAM01 & IPCAM02 are manufactured by the Shenzhen Eye Sight Technology Co., Ltd. of China.  Forget about getting any technical info from their site, they pretty much disavow any knowledge of consumer gadgets peddled in the US.

To get the correct videostream in iCam Source, enter the following into the URL box:
http://xxx.xxx.x.xx/videostream.cgi  (with x being your device's LAN IP address)
Be sure that MJPEG is the selected button.

If you have trouble finding the camera on an external network, you'll can assign the camera a port via your router's port-forwarding page.  (each router varies)  In which case, the address would look like:
http://xxx.xxx.x.xx:####/videostream.cgi  (with # being the port number you've assigned it)

Hope this helps!

Hi guys!
I see, many of you purchased the IPCAM02. So did I. And now looking desperately for some solutions as there is no support. The cam has the possibility to save the image in JPG file, but there is no way to define the file name. Cam is creating for each image own file name and I have no idea how to link the latest image. Is there a way to define always the same image name?
Thanks in advance!
Regards

Stefan

If, when you view the camera in your web browser, can you right-click and view the image? If so, then that URL would be what you would want to use.

Good day everyone,
I'm new at all this and I just purchased the IPCAM02 and i can view it with the IP camera tool it came with, i even try to set it up for FTP or email alarm service with no luck, i can view it by using the suggested http://xxx.xxx.xx.xxx.video.cgi, but other then that i have to been able to view it out my wireless network.
I've tryed to use filezilla for the FTP feature, but i'm not sure i'm setting the camera to load the images to the FTP folder... it will save the images from any motion activation, but in the .avi file and i cannot view it....
Any suggestions??

Hello Dankez,

I just yesterday purchased that IPCAM02 and i can't even change its settings ;the IP camera tool it came with is Version 7.2

As said by Camkool it is manufactured by the Shenzhen Eye Sight Technology Co (www.netwave.cn)
Click on DOWNLOAD and you see "no download files" !

Which version did you get with that produce and can you change its settings (It told me improper password but I use the default password !) ?

 Thanks

Jacques-

I had this problem as well when I tried to open the admin page with Firefox.  Once I tried it in IE, I was able to modify the fields.  You may have to set IE to automatically install or prompt you to install unsigned Active X code.

Hope that helps.

Hey guys, I have found an invaluable source for updating the unbranded IPCAM.

You guys have probably already done it hence the silence on this thread but if not please go here for all your needs, PC or Mac after updating there was no more need for the stupid activex. Thank god.

Very very interesting

One question : does your cam do an initial checkup when powered ?

Thanks

Mine does. although with the new firmware it remembers the last position the camera was in, if there was a powercut or reset. Which is nice.

I know this post hasnt seen any additions in some time, but while I was out searching for info on the IPCAM I found vital information - so maybe if someone is out doing the same thing they can find this helpful.

This unbranded camera is apparently a "FOSCAM" and if you are like me, you've been swearing like a longshoreman, pulling your hair out, and kicking yourself for buying an unbranded camera in the first place,....or worse ( like me ) lost your install disc AND are trying both PC & MAC here's the link that saved my sanity....

http://foscamcanada.com/downloads.html

It has PDF's and Software for both PC & Mac. I really hope this helps - sorry Im late by several years for some of you!  LOL
