Error Code 14 means that the iCamSource is having problems communicating with your webcam.

Make sure that your webcam is plugged directly into your computer, and not into a USB hub. If it is already plugged directly into your computer, try plugging it in to a different USB port.

Next, try rebooting your computer. If you are still having issues, make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your webcam.

If none of those things help, you can try installing these two operating system prerequestites required by the iCamSource:

Visual C++ Redistributable Package: http://skjm.com/icam/vcredist_x86.exe
.NET Framework: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en

I have added this error message to the "Troubleshooting 101" thread: http://skjm.com/forum/index.php?topic=174.0

Using Windows XP and having the same problem. After initial install I was allowed to choose the stream source. Now all I get is error 14 every time I start the program. Uninstalled, reinstalled, unplugged webcam. Also tried all suggestions given above. USB webcam works fine with other programs.

skham - It sounds like you might have Auto Start enabled on the iCamSource, but there is an issue with the inputs you had previously chosen.

The Auto Start option is stored in the Registry. If you download the registry file from the link below, double-click it to add it to the registry, and then restart the iCamSource, it shouldn't crash on start up.

Disable Auto Start Registry File - http://skjm.com/icam/iCamSourceDisableAutoStart.reg

Once you have chosen the appropriate inputs and confirmed that things work, you can re-check the Auto Start box to re-enable it.

Stefan,

Thanks so much, I have XP and had that same problem and your registry link fixed it.

I had found it so odd because it worked, then I downloaded this driver program and the icam then didn't work.

You guys are the best!

Thanks. The registry solution worked for me as well.
