iCam Pro Support / Re: iCam Source works, iCam Source Pro does not

Yes, iCam and iCam Pro are not compatible with each other, so if you are using iCam with the iCamSource, then you would want to use iCamSource Mobile, not the iCamSource Pro Mobile. (Essentially the apps that work together have the same app icons.)

If you purchased the incorrect app, you can ask Apple for a refund: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084

A thought:  Is there any chance this is because I bought iCamSource Pro instead of iCamSource?  Do they use different databases and connections?  If so, that's rather non-intuitive, IMHO.  Did I waste $5 on a purchase I now can't use?

iCam Pro Support / iCam Source works, iCam Source Pro does not
« Last post by ktappe on February 16, 2022, 11:27:13 AM »
I've been using iCam Source for years to repurpose an old MacBook into a webcam.

I recently bought iCam Source Pro for an old iPad to do the same with it.

Problem is, the latter doesn't show up as a source on my iPhone.  I've quadruple-checked that I'm using the exact same username and password on both.  However, I can only view the MacBook, not the iPad.

I tried turning off high resolution and sound in case those were the problem, but no go.  The iPad simply won't show up as a source.  What other troubleshooting can I perform to get it working?

ipCam Support / Re: Focus and frame rate

I never got a reply but it doesn't matter anymore. I found out that webcam+ just suit my needs with live stream, permanent flash and on top on that a separate application in MacOS.

iSpy Support / Sound Detection
« Last post by lionclaw on December 14, 2021, 11:52:47 PM »
It seems that iSpy is detecting sounds that are triggering it to record. I would like to disable this sound detection while still having the option of recording sound when it detects movement. How can this be done?
TIA

iSpy Support / PTZ arrow control
« Last post by lionclaw on December 11, 2021, 07:41:26 PM »
Is it possible to add PTZ arrow control to either the background or within the object frame of a PTZ camera, instead of the circle and line? I find the circle and line to be very flimsy and hard to control. This could be because my cameras were not on the list, and were installed through ONVIF, but either way I would prefer the arrow controls like you find in the PTZ setup.

I don't know what sort of quality you are looking for, but I bought a MISECU model XM-PTZ819-4X-20W, from AliExpress, for a lot less than $100 It can work with a network cable or Wifi,  and it works fine with iSpy.

iCam Support / Re: How to use my iphone as a source camera for Zoom

I have just fell for this too. This website says that iCam allows your phone to be used as a webcam on your pc:
www.makeuseof.com/tag/use-your-iphone-as-a-webcam-heres-how-ios/
"iCam is a paid app that can turn an iPhone into a webcam. The mobile app is just one part of the equation; like EpocCam, you'll also need the iCamSource component on your computer. Once you have both apps installed, you can stream live video and audio from any iOS device."
it is very misleading. I actually purchased icam on my phone and downloaded icamsource to the PC, then realised that was the wrong way around for what I wanted, so I purchased iCamSource for the phone too before discovering that iCam is not available on the PC :-(
Can these misleading websites be reported to Google, so they stop showing up in search results?
Can you please put something on your home page and download page to clearly state that you can't use iCam to use your phone as a webcam for your PC?
Thanks
Phil
